The Austin Symphony is excited to continue its new program this holiday season that will bring free music to all Austinites. Christmas in the Community is a series of ten concerts held throughout the city of Austin featuring different ensembles of the orchestra playing familiar holiday music. The program kicks off on December 4th with woodwinds at the Macy’s at Lakeline Mall. All ten dates, times, and locations are listed below.

The big finale on December 23 at Symphony Square will feature 2.5 hours of music by the Stardust Orchestra, performing jazz style Christmas music. Also, the Austin Symphony String Quartet will perform in the Mercantile Room during intermission to keep the music going. Brick Oven will have food and beverage on site for purchase. This will be one you definitely don’t want to miss!

Christmas in the Community is proudly sponsored by Macy’s.

Christmas in the Community replaces our previous holiday tradition, The Christmas Sing-Along. The new ten concert series enables the Symphony to reach a broader audience. The one night only performance limited attendance to just 3,000 people, while the new program, with more diverse locations and times, is able to reach far more
