Viva La Vida Fest 2015 – Parade and Festival October 31 – Exhibitions September 12 to November 22
Austin’s largest and longest–running Day of the Dead event and features a grand procession, artist vendors, live music, a grand float by local piñata artisans, an exhibition with community altars inside the Museum, and educational programs. Attendees can also enjoy food from Chi’Lantro and Veracruz All Natural, hands-on art activities, and special performances by Gina Chavez, DJ Chorizo Funk, Tiarra Girls, and more! The 2015 event is co-sponsored by the City of Austin.

Texas born and raised, DJ Chorizo Funk, is one of the premiere sound selectors in the Lone Star state.
His deep passion for music and technical skill behind the turntables guarantee a soulful experience for music lovers and dancers. He’s able to seamlessly mix and connect the dots amongst a wide range of genres such as Afro- Latin, Afrobeat, Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, and more
